Portrait Retouching

Shot was taken with Canon EOS 400D and Canon 70-200 2.8L lens.  Exposure 1/200 at f/3.2.  ISO 100.  Lit with a 430EX on a stand shot through an opaque umbrella up and to the left of the subject.  Contrast adjusted in Adobe LightRoom, and facial retouching in Adobe Photoshop.  Retouching for this image included blemish removal and adjustment of the chin.  At the time of exposure I liked the composition; less so now... On the left is the before and the right is the after.

This girl's eyes are incredible!!! I think you did a good job with taking imperfections out from her face, but I think you should've left some of her freckles! I love freckles. They really show a person's natural beauty. But you did a nice job making it seem like they weren't there in the first place!

your retouches look really soft and natural, and her eyes look awesome!

wow! Good job. You did a great job of focusing the photo on a specific feature, and the skin is great. I also like how you sharpened a bit, but didn't darken much more than her eyes, so they stay the focus.
